Data Monitoring Board

Data Monitoring Board (DMB) was established in order to follow all the topics related to privacy and confidentiality of data within the TackSHS project. The DMB consists of the Scientific Project Manager, Dr Constantine Vardavas (WP6 Investigator), Dr. Silvano Gallus (WP3 Leader), the Data Controller (Yolanda Castellano) and Ana Navas-Acien, a member of the Advisory Board, as an independent control person.

The main tasks of the DMB

To assist with the final review and presentation of the Protocols, and to coordinate the presentation of them to several Ethics Committees if necessary
To monitor the compliance with the protection of personal data regulations
To assist the WPLs in any doubt regarding the ethical issues of data collection, storage and dissemination of results
To establish control methods that will be applied in order to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of the data collected through the project
