Ethics
Meticulous ethics revision was performed prior to the project start; as the result an additional work package (WP12) regulating all relevant ethical aspects was introduced. During the lifespan of the project the following procedures are undertaken to ensure utter compliance with European regulations in the field of ethics and data protection:
- All studies that were defined as the clinical ones will prepare a detailed study protocols that would include the consent form and information sheet. These protocols to be submitted to the local Ethics Committees and, if necessary, to the Ethics Committees of other countries that participate in a study
- In addition, the studies defined as “clinical” ones will be registered via a recognised registry online (clinicaltrials.gov)
- Copies of ethical approvals by the competent legal local or national Ethics Bodies are submitted to the European Commission prior to the commencement of the research
- Detailed information is provided to the EC on privacy and confidentiality and the procedures that will be implemented for data collection, storage, protection, retention and destruction and confirmation that they comply with national and EU legislation
- An external independent Ethics Advisor (EEA) was appointed to oversee the ethical concerns involved in this research. A report by the Ethics Advisor should be submitted to the European Commission with the Periodic Reports
- In compliance with Directive 95/46/EC and with article 29 working group 8/2010 opinion, the data controller dedicated to the project was designated
- Policy on incidental findings will be applied
- Appropriate health and safety procedures conforming to relevant local and national legislation are followed for staff involved in the project
- In case of involvement of vulnerable individuals or groups, the details will be provided about the measures taken to prevent the risk of enhancing vulnerability/stigmatisation of individuals or groups
- During the lifetime of this project the revised Directive 95/46/EC on Data Protection and Privacy may come into force and the Coordinator takes this into account to ensure continuing compliance

My experience with Psychiatric Services at the University
Our system is not perfect, but it helped me …
I was training for midterms, and depression hit me in a truck. If you ask me what I remember from my class at the time, I can’t tell you a lot. But here’s what I can tell you: I cried. Everyone. One. Good night. Good night. I wasn’t suicidal, but the thought of jumping from the cornice-any one on campus-was on my mind all the time. I remember that I took more routes to get to class so I don’t see them …
No one will look like mine. But, if,
Last October, I set up a meeting with the Center for Health Services and Consulting at the Simone Fraser University. At the time, seeing that health and counselling were not on my list for two reasons …
First of all, I was incredibly naive and thought that no one of the advisors could give me advice that I could take myself from the ground with …
Second, I’ve had a terrible experience with Health and Counsellly in my first year at the university …
Memories: I sat in front of the middle age, feeling a little sad and horny (the result of my own mental health problems, mixed with stress), expecting them to find me feeling better. Instead, I came out of the meeting. Because trusting this man with my mental problems, the counselor told me that my problems are not so bad. That I should try to rest or something …
For almost two years, I didn’ t come back for help.If I were retros, I’d be much happier if I tried again, because I hit the jackpot when I made my second appointment last October. I found someone who was more sensitive this time, an advisory student, practicing her practicality …
She not only listened to me without judgment, she gave me self-care tips, and about how to deal with my depression. It was so thoughtful, I cried. For several sessions, I slowly learned to rejoy
Why students do not use mental health services (and why you should give them a chance).
I can’t help you anytime soon.
It’s true, University Psychiatric Services.

This suggests that the waiting time for counselling and therapy in Ontario (not only in universities).
In addition, priority should be given to appointments based on the needs of students in health and counselling institutions. The point is, if it’s an emergency, make sure you don’t need to make the severity of your needs when you describe them in the person you want to plan. In some cases, you will even be caught on the same day you come in to assign …
The bad press needs to be right.
When a student asks his friend: Hey, you were at the university counselor? Are they any good? and a friend says, Yes, I have had a terrible experience, \» which must be …
Although you have friends who can rely on advice, it’s fantastic, you’re not friends. Ditto for news sources and their statistics. Just because your friend had a bad experience with a consultant doesn’t mean you’ll be. In my case, he took two different people to find the right fit. And to be honest, it’s possible that someone else might have thought that the first counselor I met with gives me great advice …
At the Simon Fraser University, most advisory groups are either daustolor or psychologist students (as opposed to trained psychologists with a Danish dissertation group). As a result, some students consider that they will not receive meaningful advice during the session.
I disagree, based on personal experience. I think it makes for much more comfortable experience when the counselor is someone you can identify. In the end, the man who (successfully!) helped me was probably at the end of twenty …
Why do you have to give a chance to university psychiatric services?
Because you don’t have to be the only one who’s dealing with mental health issues. If you are fighting, please visit health and counselling services in your post office. They can just save you …
