Dr Ángel López Nicolás, Professor of the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena and the Principal Investigator of the TackSHS WP10, recently gave an interview to La Verdadnewspaper. The researcher explained different aspects related to life styles and how health promotion could lower overall expenditures on healthcare. Dr Ángel López also highlighted the impact of the exposure to SHS on healthcare expenditures and gave as an example the recent findings of his Team that concluded that in 2015 the cases of asthma, otitis and other respiratory diagnoses in children that were caused by passive exposure to tobacco smoke generated more than 25€ million expenditure of the Spanish healthcare.
